Protocol
Safety and recovery
What is permanently out of everyone's reach, including ours.
Unrecoverable by anyone
- Liquidity locked at graduation, and any supply locked with it.
- Tokens sent directly to a contract address by mistake.
- Anything burned, whether by a takeover or by the buyback.
On a graduated coin, withdrawing the liquidity is not something we have promised not to do. It is something the contract has no function for.
The one recovery path
Graduation runs in two steps, and a launch can in principle stall between them, most likely because something about the pairing asset changed after it was approved. If a launch sits stuck for seven full days, the protocol can return what the curve collected rather than leave it stranded.
The seven days are the safeguard. They are long enough that this can never be used to interfere with a graduation that was going to succeed, and a launch that has been through it carries that mark permanently.
